    Well, at least it was good to hear that not everything the Trump administration is doing is so depressingly cruel and one-sided ... and it was refreshing to hear that the reason for a lot of the messiness that seems to have been happening over the last decade (or more) is because congress has _not_ been doing its job. ... that the job of a lawmaker is to spend the time thinking through the issues so that laws are made that are fair and do their best to respect the freedom of all parties.

    Listened this morning, interested to hear more about Sarah's objection to prayer before her orchestra events in high school. I suspect I agree, and probably did when I was in high school, but I would like to hear her reasons.

    For instance, even in high school, I did not want to be involved in group prayer led by many, if not all of the teachers. However, before football games, we would recite The Lord's Prayer, as a team, and didn't think poorly at all of that practice. I think, looking back, it was more of a a team attitude, but I always was amused by the way, just after the recitation, the break up of the group usually included some rather profane promises of what we were about to do as we ran into the field.

    I suspect that Sarah's objection was related the Establishment argument. I also suspect that she had no problem with the free exercise argument. I just don't know if I was that ideological at 16 years old. I just didn't believe the teachers were people I wanted to lead prayers. Sarah's objection may have been more nuanced than mine at that age.

    Or, she was reacting to authority as 16 years sometimes do. I'd like to hear that discussed.

    In this episode David corrects his mistake from last podcast where he called Marie Yovanovitch “Ukrainian Ambassador”

    Unfortunately, in the correction, he called her......“Marie YANKOVITCH”

    *extreme record scratch noise 💀💀

    Looking forward to the correction correction next time where David will have to explain that the former US Ambassador to Ukraine is not actually a musical parody artist with an accordion

    PS we really can’t rule out Trump naming Weird Al Yankovitch to an ambassadorship though, can we

      Aaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh! Though if you heard her strong backing vocals in "Amish Paradise" you'd wonder why she ever gave up music for diplomacy :)
