    Geez what did I miss?

    Fox News says Biden plans to murder all the world’s puppies and babies, and MSNBC says he just cured heart disease.

    Must’ve been just like every other SOTU ever.

    Why aren’t democratic operatives pushing to replace Kamala on the 2024 ticket? It is clear that Biden is set on running, but many doubt that he can complete another term. Rather than swapping the top of the ticket, put a better VP (and likely president) on the bottom of the ticket. I can’t imagine anyone not voting for Biden because he “Hannibal Hamlin’s” VP Harris, but wouldn’t he potentially gain voters if they felt there was a better back up waiting in the wings?

    Biden basically attacked the Supreme Court Justices, and is throwing fire everywhere he can.

    This isn’t a speech to unify, this is a speech to get to the Fox Holes.

    He used false numbers in Gaza from Hamas…

    Jesus, the guy claimed he taught the 2 Amendment for 12 years…while never actually teaching a subject at all I believe…

    What the hell is he doing…….?

      Who is there to unify? Only a few percent of voters are able to be influenced. Doesn't the Republican House eg Greene really represent why Unity, for now a fairy tale we won't see for a decade

    Naturally I think its a great speech. Pretty well delivered. Loved the knocks on the former President.

    Some good policy ideas.

    Speaker Johnson is at least being courteous. He looks squimish however.

      This is the worst SOTU address I have ever seen. It’s like an episode of Oprah…you get car and you get a car!

        the economic populism is a big turnoff but that is the good thing about living in a representative democracy. He is not king. It will take Congress to pass. those economic give aways fit his profile as a "man of the workers" democrat. I disagree with them whole heartedly but at this point I don't really care. either they won't pass or a slight increase in the corporate tax rate wont be the death knell of the republic.

        I Don't know if I can say the same thing of appeasing Putin and Xi or withdrawing from the Western Security order which Trump would have more authority to do.

        Don't know about the worst ever, but I do think it was Biden's worst SOTU. The delivery that some in the media are raving about fell flat with me, but surely the substance should be more important anyway.

        On substance, the worst bits were on economic policy. Biden leaned into a bunch of economic populism like greedflation and addressing housing affordability by subsidizing demand. Which, I'm sorry, is just complete nonsense that polls well. Trump engages in all kinds of economically illiterate populism, and deserves to be called out for it; Biden should be called out too when he indulges in the same thing.

          After the free prize giveaways, it’s gotten moderately better. I hope he can handle the comedown from whatever drugs they pumped him up on. I’d swear he’s eballing right now.
