    As I expected, some of the comments here are pretty negative. I found this highly interesting even though I was never a fan of the Drudge Report. I will probably go listen to the show.

    I'm a little worried about The Dispatch. This ep feels pretty drain-circle-y. ("Sure just promote your own thing, who cares at this point...") It's going to really suck if this source of sanity dissolves into the Drudgey ether, especially as another Trump Administration kicks off.

    I get that if the hosts ever want a chance at an interview with the guy, they have to treat him with respect. But the idea that any asshole with a laptop can be a journalist starts a direct cultural line to QAnon, and I hope they don't just let that slide. Character matters. Ethics matters. He's not just some irrelevant reclusive eccentric who can be studied with bemused detachment; the guy did real harm to our political landscape that we're still struggling with today.

    I'm curious as to the relationship that Drudge has with Charles Hurt, who is an editor of the Drudge Report. I hope this will be explored on the podcast.

    Maybe Matt is one of those people that makes a boatload of money and then disappears to a quiet life driving Ferraris on a private island. That reminds, I need to go buy a lottery ticket.

    Journalists thinking "the worst thing in life is not to be hated, but to be ignored" and the implication that Matt Drudge was somehow "less than" because of his lack of a journo degree says SO MUCH about what is wrong with journalism today.

    Just followed the “Finding Matt Drudge” podcast and enjoyed the first episode, where I learned that baby reporter Tucker Carlson was just as much of a self-centered opportunist as the middle-aged version. He had a lot at stake in “the system” so he didn’t tell the truth about someone. How unsurprising.

    This might be the only podcast reference by this site I don't check out. The Drudge Report always threw up red flags for me though I could never explain why. This podcast episode left my curiosity piqued but not enough to listen to hours about someone I consider suspect. Maybe I'll change my mind but everything tells me to stay away from sending more traffic to anything about him.
