Wendy Lane Cook is the deputy managing editor of The Dispatch and is based in Washington, D.C. Before joining the company in 2024, she was the managing editor of the San Antonio Report. She also has worked as an editor at The Washington Post and as a writer and editor at the Associated Press. When she's not editing stories, you can find Wendy managing her small herd of felines or exploring a book store. She and her husband have two daughters.
