Dear Dispatch Members,
The Dispatch Monthly Mailbag is back with another installment and Andrew Egger is in the hot seat.
Last month, Haley Byrd Wilt told us all about her favorite science fiction stories, the difference between TV and print journalism, and balancing being a reporter and being a mom. You can read that here.
Now, Andrew is ready to answer your questions.
Andrew is an associate editor with The Dispatch and editor of the new Dispatch Politics newsletter. He previously covered campaigns and the Trump White House for The Bulwark and The Weekly Standard and studied history at Hillsdale College. He lives in Virginia with his wife Grace, who teaches kindergarten, and daughter Holly (with another on the way!). He likes to read and play folk music in his spare time, is a proud member of The Dispatch’s St. Louis Cardinals fan faction, and is still trying to catch up on all the shows everybody was talking about a couple years ago.
Andrew’s suggested topics:
- What it’s like covering the campaign trail
- Why anyone can play guitar and why you yourself personally should give it a shot
- Why Hillsdale’s (still) good, ditto the liberal arts, ditto classical education, ditto the historic Christian liturgy
- Growing up with The Dispatch
- Being friends with Declan, even though he likes the Cubs
Drop your questions for Andrew in the comments below, and keep an eye out for an email with all of his answers in the coming weeks!
