David Hogg and the Bully Test

Democrats code talking their way to oblivion.

Host Sarah Isgur and contractually obligated Jonah Goldberg are joined by Dispatch contributor Jesse Singal and Mike Pesca, host of The Gistpodcast to discuss the Democratic Party’s identity crisis. Also: Singal broke news on The Dispatch about the Trump administration’s transgender policy.

The Agenda:
The cajun rages on
Sarah is smarter than her son
We all know a David Hogg
The Dems should thank Trump for the 80/20 issues
—The Trump administration and transgender health care for kids
—2026 Senate map
Ross Douthat worries about the end of humanity

Sarah Isgur is a senior editor at The Dispatch and is based in northern Virginia. Prior to joining the company in 2019, she had worked in every branch of the federal government and on three presidential campaigns. When Sarah is not hosting podcasts or writing newsletters, she’s probably sending uplifting stories about spiders to Jonah, who only pretends to love all animals.

Jonah Goldberg is editor-in-chief and co-founder of The Dispatch, based in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, enormous lizards roamed the Earth. More immediately prior to that, Jonah spent two decades at National Review, where he was a senior editor, among other things. He is also a bestselling author, longtime columnist for the Los Angeles Times, commentator for CNN, and a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. When he is not writing the G-File or hosting The Remnant podcast, he finds real joy in family time, attending to his dogs and cat, and blaming Steve Hayes for various things.

Jesse Singal is a contributing writer at The Dispatch, a cohost of the “Blocked and Reported” podcast, and he writes the Singal-Minded newsletter. A former senior editor and writer-at-large at New York Magazine, his work has appeared in outlets like the New York Times, The Atlantic, The Economist, and the Boston Globe. He is the author of The Quick Fix: Why Fad Psychology Can’t Cure Our Social Ills, and is presently working on a book about youth gender medicine.
