Join the crew as they discuss the events that defined the ’20s, the biggest names of the decade, from Herbert Hoover to Charles Lindbergh to Babe Ruth, and the similarities between politics now and a century ago.

    For your ‘pick a year’ closing discussion, how about 1961? You had the Kennedy inauguration followed closely by the Bay of Pigs! You had the Soviets sending Yuri Gagarin into space, followed closely by Alan Shepard of the US. Roger Maris hitting 61 HRs and challenging the legacy of Babe Ruth! I was 6 years old in 61, and I remember all of the above, yet I don’t remember what I had for dinner yesterday.

    Thanks so much for this! I wish all the book club episodes were done as live chats--which is sort of ironic since I couldn't partake in this one, and I have hardly had the time to start (much less complete) a new book in months...

    Apart from that, great discussion. Kevin's swipe at Haley for her unfamiliarity with the content of his writings was very on-brand, btw. *chef's kiss* Don't be intimidated, Haley!
