Dear Dispatch Members,
We are back for another Monthly Mailbag.
Last month, Declan told us all about how TMD comes together every day, his love of Chicago sports, and the origins of his name. If you missed it, you can read it here.
This month, Rachael Larimore has signed up to take on your questions.
Rachael is the managing editor of The Dispatch. Before that, she started her career as a sportswriter and dreamed of writing for Sports Illustrated. When the first dot-com bubble burst and she got laid off in 2001, Rachael accidentally stumbled into political journalism when Slate hired her. She finally got a chance to work in conservative journalism, a more natural fit, when Steve hired her to work at The Weekly Standard in 2017.
Rachael’s suggested topics:
-
Any and all questions about the Ohio bureau: living here, working from home, the eternal struggle over whether to root for the Bengals or the Browns
-
Craft beer! Let me tell you about my favorite styles, particular beers, and breweries.
-
The evolution of journalism since the advent of the internet (I’ve seen it all.)
-
Life as a “boy mom” and what’s it like to have three teenagers
Drop your questions for Rachael in the comments below, and keep an eye out for an email with all of her answers on October 16!
