    I too thoroughly enjoyed this podcast - BUT as a 50-something single with no children, I take great umbrage with the argument that the same characteristic is a flaw in Tim Scott's character! It should in no way disqualify him as a serious contender for the office of the presidency. On the contrary - he may just be our most focused, dedicated and principled candidate yet!

    Haven’t heard this much rank punditry from Mr Drucker since his great appearances on the John Batchelor Show. There’s something reassuring and stabilizing and the tenor and cadence of his voice, despite how depressing the content he’s reporting in may be. And great ending gents. Well played.

    I wasn’t sure about Harding. Also, several others had served as senators but were in another office when elected president (Nixon, Truman, et al). I tend to thing governess are better prepared to make decisions rather than endlessly negotiate potential legislation. Thx!

    At 11:10ff, David Drucker mentions that many Republican voters want the "Trump agenda" but would rather do without Trump the man.

    What is this agenda? Did Trump have a coherent agenda, other than self-aggrandizement, that he pursued throughout his four years in office?

    Good discussion but you didn’t even mention a “normal” former governor who talks much common sense- Asa Hutchison, along with the much younger current governor Sununu. And why is a sitting Senator more qualified than a governor?

      It's funny. Until Barack Obama's election in 2008, we had NEVER (CORRECTION: only twice) elected a sitting senator. Most have been governors, cabinet members, or representatives.

          You're right! I was repeating what I thought I remember being often mentioned in 2008, that we would be electing a sitting U.S. Senator as POTUS for the first time. But, obviously, JFK was a sitting senator. So was Warren G. Harding.

    The argument to those who think Trump was cheated in 2020 is simple: he was President and allowed it to happen. A real fighter would have stopped voter fraud at that scale. As chief law enforcement officer of the country, he let an election get stolen out from under him. That man is not your champion.
