Kevin kicks off the conversation with to provide legal context while a sleep-deprived Jonah shares his initial thoughts.     The average veteran of WWII didn't sleep in a foxhole in the Ardennes. Reading Band of Brothers, they spend a lot of time complaining about how the masses of REMFs steal their supplies and otherwise putz around. I'd bet most, if not all, of the success of 1940s GI Bill students was due to the fact that they were simply a few years older when they started college. 25 year olds just have their stuff more together than 18 year olds. To ascribe it to Greatest Generation manliness and sense of purpose is to make the exact same false merit argument you spend the rest of the segment disproving.

    I don’t watch them all but seeing this example, I think Dispatch Live has really hit its stride (and not just because of the fancy new graphics).

    Also- always thought the intro music was cool. Would like to know who picked it out!

    I'm still confused by the fake electors thing. Physically, how were they going to cast their votes? Were they going to mug the real electors and stuff them in a closet somewhere, go in and place their votes? Were they going to use a polyjuice potion so they looked like the real electors? I don't understand how these knuckleheads expected to get away with this.

    I suspect every person in healthcare has had a FOX News watching patient hold them hostage for a few long minutes and repeat some familiar themes. When patients with some degree of dementia do it, I realize how effective the repetition can be. The other day I walked into the room of a patient who has acquired cognitive deficits, which were not initially noticeable because he presents well, as we say. He remains ambulatory and conversational, and does best with therapy in social settings. He was watching FOX and said "Do you ever notice how most of our problems are caused by the media?" Not sure if he votes.

    Most Trump fans I meet - outside of my family - are patients averaging late 70s in age. Don't know what percentage of the MAGA base this accounts for, but I feel like "the media" overrepresents the younger part of that group in visual documents - video interviews, etc.

    They will continue to be a force in elections for a while, but the generations just below me - millenials, Gen Z - far outnumber them. Nothing about FOX caters to young people.

    We see the goalposts shifting now. Imagine what ten years will bring?
