After weeks of speculation—Donald Trump issued a statement on March 19 claiming he would be indicted on March 21—and disinformation—social media users shared AI-generated deepfake photos of Trump running from and fighting with NYPD officers, Donald Trump has been indicted with charges expected to be announced soon.

On the evening of March 30, multiple reports confirmed the indictment of former president Donald Trump by a Manhattan grand jury on more than 30 counts relating to business fraud. The specific charges against Trump have not yet been made public but are expected to include charges relating to an alleged hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels made during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump is expected to appear before a judge in a Manhattan court on Tuesday.
