    I'm late because I am catching up on podcasts I hadn't listened to, so probably no one will see this...but...loved it...and I stayed till the end and laughed hysterically ( I have two cats...they protest too...lol...they are pretty indignant when I go out of town...)...and listening to you guys laugh was a lot of fun too...thanks

    I would like to claim my prize for being one of eight or possibly one people listening to the end for “protest poop”.

    I think we need to hear more about the Hayes Household Menagerie. I used to have a bunch of those kinds of pets growing up and for a while worked at a very exotic (not quite Joe Exotic.. seriously this was an ethical place) pet store with a zoo housing gators, giant anacondas, etc. So the reptile stuff is interesting. There are dozens of us!!

    Also I find it funny Jonah doesn’t seem to worry about Zoe. Like a gator would ever try to tangle with her

    Something my wife and I have noticed for a while but it got really bad this time. Sarah has a habit of interrupting everyone else, trying to get them to opine on different philosophical parts of her original question than they are interested in enumerating.

    It's quite frustrating. The guys will often be in the middle of a fascinating point and Sarah will jump in, "Well, what about..."

    And it's like, 'He's answering the question right now! Just let him finish!'

    My wife in particular finds this infuriating.

    Also, one of the things we love about NR's podcast is to see when the hosts disagree and even argue. You guys should do this more. Not crossfire or anything, just a 'well, I think...' 'really, because I think...'

    Finally, Justin Amash for the win.

    One of the main reasons Nebraska was able to get so many loans was because of banks like Union Bank and Trust. The Washington Post ran an article that explains what they did but the short version is they started accepting loan applications right away, moved most their employees to working the loans, and kept applications coming in 24/7. Most of the other locally owned banks here acted in a very similar way. Just had to do my Nebraska humble brag part here.

    If Republicans want to get a jump on the political finger pointing over who got PPP money, they should talk about Dodd-Frank. The bill was supposed to deal with banks too big to fail but has resulted in one community bank going out of business every business day since. [At least that was true about two years ago.] Too many Democrat solutions to problems are like putting out fires with gasoline.

    This was fantastic. I appreciate the apologies for the last few minutes, because I almost drove off the road I was laughing so hard. Love getting the straight poop from you guys. Make sure Zoe looks after Pippa because I am pretty sure Zoe could handle those measly florida crocs. On a more serious note, I am 47 years old, so I remember Ross Perot well, and I think this Amash thing is completely different and unpredictable. Who the hell is excited to vote for Trump or Biden? GHWB and Clinton......very different story - both actually likable pols. Millions of us are excited at the chance to vote for somebody (almost anybody!) else....not dozens, MILLIONS!

    Now THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT, and journalism. Great stuff, especially the second half. “Feeding kale to bearded dragons” would be a great title for a piece on the left wing press. Sarah is, or has gotten, just great at running these. Her nimble transitions and clever asides make her seem like a decades long radio vet. I do think her suggesting media bias is more a frenzy that erupts periodically, rather than an ideological and partisan syndrome, is off, and Steve addresses that, obviously without criticizing Sarah. Steve stood out for the second pod in a row for enthusiasm and keen analysis. We now know it wasn’t JG absence that drove him last time! Steve’s dog tales (whining, special pleading, playing favorites) sounds a lot like the press failings requiring launch of The Dispatch, so it all ties together. Jonah and David predictably cogent. Especially liked Jonah’s exposition on how much of the problems with the relief funding is to be expected. I wish we could remind more folks of that. The pet ending was spectacular. Anyone who ended this pod not smiling has serious problems. Doing that for us in these times is really cool...really!
