    I've been listening to the Remnant since Ep 1, and have enjoyed them all (audio notwithstanding).
    I would suggest a name for your audio G-File, "The Ruminant". There is a certain multi-level symmetry there.

    I would argue that the Vermeule - Amari - Carlson approach to governance is more a reflection of the actions and policies already enacted since, well probably 9/11 and Katrina. We increasingly have governance of risk, less of governing least.

    One more comment. I do believe we can love people we've never met. It is the love that God gives us. It is not the same sort of love that we have for our children or friends. That love is "earned" to a degree by their actions. We can though love others by recognizing they are fellow humans and God's creations. In the Greek, there is agape love which is more like the love of humanity in general and there is phileo love which is that for those you know. The interesting thing is God's love for us is agape. He doesn't love us on the merits. Since He is perfect, we are very sinful and fall far short. He loves us anyway. It's a hard way to be but it's the Godly way to be. As a sinful man, I admit I don't live up to it all the time.

    As I said before, I really enjoy hearing you flesh out in greater detail points that I've heard you make in other places. It's not, "recycling [your] greatest hits." It's expanding and clarifying your thoughts. And no matter your feelings, you don't some awkward, just conversational. Thanks for risking it again!

    Yes this is the best podcast you've ever done in my opinion and perhaps the best I've heard period. The opening monologue on work should be required listening in every senior high school class before they graduate and go into the world.

    Having said that, I will admit I am skeptical you can keep this up at this level. I do think the focused monologues are really where it's at for you.

    I liked this a lot, Jonah. Your emotion is very welcome and taking on pernicious ideas from the right (and left) is needed more than ever. I feel for all the content you provide something which stands out in Suicide of the West, but wasn’t mentioned in this pod...GRATITUDE! For the content itself, of course, but more for your tireless work to defend and promote the principles the remnant must keep alive. That you package this work with wit, emotion, and fascinating and funny asides, without sacrificing the intellectual heavy lifting, is a feature, not a bug. No one else is doing what you do. You are needed, just like Rick the exterminator, even if I’m not the first to tell you. Thanks.

    Love the Remnant, love the Dispatch, love dogs (mine better, but I do know your dogs' names).

    So glad there is a place where I can find my basic instincts about politics, politicians and political history/philosophy vindicated via rigorous arguments and reporting. Thank you. Philosophy is too much responsibility for me.

    Just FYI - My instincts were made apparent to me in a car ride home from an event during highschool with others in the "top" of our graduating class. We were all chatting about which schools we got into, what we thought we'd be studying and what we thought we'd be when we grew up. The senior class president said something to the effect that we should all go into politics because we were the best of the best and the rest of the population needed us to look out for them. I almost threw up.
