Sarah summons Civil War buff David French to discuss the surprising––and breathtaking––historiography of the Lincoln assassination and the pursuit to catch the conspirators.

    As I recall, there have been a few reasonably good film versions of this story. “ The Lincoln Conspiravy” made a big impression on me as a teen ager. “The Conspirator” is also worth watching.

    I think the assassination of Robert Kennedy was worthy of comment from Sara & David. If he had survived, it would have likely changed the results of the election and the impact of Nixon. I recent finished Theodore White's book on the 1968 election and he writes of the impact.

    Looks like Tobias Menzies will be Stanton. If all actors casr are of this same caliber it will be riveting! But, yes Sarah, the books are always better.

    I love listening to Sarah and David talk. I enjoyed listening to them discuss modern day stuff that relates to the text of the book. LOOOVED listening to them casting the imaginary movie.
