Fact Check: No Evidence To Suggest Foo Fighters Drummer Died of Vaccine

On March 27, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins died in Bogotá, Colombia. Shortly after, rumors began circulating online that Hawkins’ death was connected to the COVID-19 vaccine. One viral Facebook post claims that “Taylor Hawkins died from the jab.”

The post is accompanied by a screenshot of a New York Post article from March 27 with a headline reading “Taylor Hawkins’ heart weighed double that of an average man: report,” alongside a screenshot from the myocarditis foundation, highlighting the word “enlarges.”

Myocarditis, which is inflammation of the heart muscle, is also a side effect of the COVID-19 vaccine in some young adults. In placing the two screenshots side by side, the post insinuates that the size of Hawkins’ heart was due to myocarditis from the COVID-19 vaccine.

But there is no evidence to suggest that.
