To kick off this week’s Dispatch Live, Steve and Jonah share their thoughts about the Fox News/Dominion lawsuit (for which they were both subpoenaed). Then, Kevin and David join to discuss the latest in 2024 GOP politics and the viability of CPAC. Stick around to hear a story about CPAC from Steve that he has never told publicly before and a joke from Kevin that had most of the guys and members in the chat laughing out loud.

    This was a superb and memorable episode. Thank you, Messrs. Hayes & Goldberg, for the opening segment regarding Dominion & Fox. It was ... epic.

    From time to time a podcast segment featuring The Dispatch Media's two cofounders, without further adornment, is useful and appropriate.

    The chemistry with Messrs. Williamson & Drucker added in was also crackling-good. Two thumbs up; carry on.

    Why do I need to fact check the Dispatch? You incorrectly asserted Tucker supported Trump's stop the steal stuff. He didn't. See on air rebuke of Powell below. The hosts cited as support his (private) call to fire Heinrich for saying no evidence of fraud. She said that on Nov 12. When asked how we know the election wasn't fraudulent, Isgur and Stirewalt typically cite the canvass and certification processes as ruling said fraud out. Those processes were still ongoing on Nov 12. Heintich said no evidence before it was even really investigated.

    There is plenty to fairly critique re Fox News and Tucker. I admire Jonah and Steve for disassociating. But the Dispatch was supposed to be the place I get accurate commentary and not just another version of MSNBC's talking points of the day. The Dispatch team can do better and usually does.

    Wasn't Williamson just a few weeks ago suggesting that the whole Trump administration be given a lengthy time out (with even Sarah Isgur only narrowly escaping)? How is he now a Haley guy? Or did I misunderstand one or both of those conversations?

    Interesting podcast, with 4 of my 6 favorite commentators. But I felt a sense that all were resigned to an inevitability of Trump being the GOP nominee. Come on guys. you know that would be the death of the Republican Party. Give us some hope; give us some alternative route. Losing again, as he did in 2020, would relegate conservatives to the so-called "dustbin of history". Coalesce around an electable candidate.

      The survival of the Republican Party is not really a priority of theirs (I know that at least Jonah and Kevin have said as much). Nor do I think it should be.

      But I also didn't get the sense they were resigned to Trump as the nominee. Jonah has still not changed his prediction that neither Trump nor DeSantis will be the nominee in his view.

    Every time you guys talk about or I read about the Dominion/Fox stuff, I am so fascinated thinking of Tucker and Hannity at a personal level. Are they really so cynical and shameless that what they do nightly doesn't bother them AT ALL? Do they sleep well at night? What are their conversations with family like? It's just amazing at a human psychology level that they're willing to gaslight millions of people they have contempt for every night, with things they know to be lies, for fame and money. Incredible stuff.

    Drucker explaining Williamson's Trump/church joke and Williamson rebuking him with the best impression of politeness that I imagine he can summon was quality

    Steve is a horrible story teller - not that his Milo story wasn't interesting - it's just that the interest of it could have been imparted with far less [fewer - not to piss Jonah off] words - the needless dilation wasn't quite Podhoretzian, but close enough to be annoying
