    I often complain about the fact that in the entire history of Texas' statehood, dating back to December 1845, there has been only one Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from Texas -- the Hon. Tom C. Clark, a Truman appointee who served from 1949-1967. As a lawyer proud of his Texas roots, this seems to me a case of obvious underrepresentation on its face.

    And then I consider the face that Texas voters have chosen to present to the rest of the world as the Attorney General of Texas, the Rarely-Right and Always-Dishonorable Ken Paxton. And then I say, in my best Emily Litella voice: "Never mind."

    This was a good show, the entire price of admission for which was made worthwhile by the opportunity to hear David French say "BEX-ar."

    I’m trying desperately to find information about David and Sarah recording a pod at the University of Michigan law school. Anyone know the details for this event? I’d love to try to make it if I can, and I think it’s supposed to be tomorrow.

      It’s noon at the law school but I don’t know the room yet. But I assume there will be posters somewhere once you get there.

    To those representing Martha's Migrants, what are the damages? How were they harmed by the fraud? They were taken to a beautiful island where they were given a warm welcome and the promise of help and jobs. Instead of being a group of 50 in a mass of people coming across the border they are, at least for the moment, celebrities. They are in better shape now than when they crossed the border and with more opportunities than they would have had they remained in Texas.

    Born and raised in Bexar County, Texas. David's pronunciation of Bexar is the way telemarketers pronounce the county name. Sarah's pronunciation (Bay-har) is probably correct if you are speaking Spanish ("San Antonio de Bexar"). But locally, we just say "Bear." As my father likes to say, "The X in Bexar is silent, just like the X in cheese."

      Its 12pm at the law school! its sponsored by fed soc but i dont know what room their hosting it in. shouldnt be too hard to find once youre on the law school campus though.

    Please. please revoke Sarah's Texas citizenship card. If you do not know how Texans pronounce Bexar, as in Bexar County (home to San Antonio), then don't claim to be a Texan. It is B-E-A-R, as in bare naked or polar bear. Forget this fancy, high-falutin "bay-har". Everyone at the Mercado will laugh you outta town on your sorry trick pony. Sorta like pronouncing San Jacinto as if Spanish: Pronounce the "J" as taught by English speakers (Jya-sin-toe), not as a (spanish) "yah" (yah-SEEN-toe). Sarah, you clearly took French or German and left Texas a long, long time ago. @Sarah @David
