    As one of that core on pro-life issues. I am none to sure about whether I'll stick out my Republican loyalty. Not because of Trump but because of what my conservative Christians say about this crises that mirror what women in unexpected pregnancies say. I am watching the culture of death surround me. Are there alternatives? No, I'm aware of that, but will I just skip pulling a lever in the fall? It begins to feel likely.

    This was useful, but I was really struck by the absence of substantive views from Sarah and David about how to deal with the liability issue. I can’t remember another issue presented in detail where the protagonists had so little to say about what would be best. Sarah stressed predictability, of course. What gives? Many of us think the US suffers from larger tort reform needs, outlandish medical malpractice costs, ridiculous jury verdicts, etc., all to be balanced with protecting folks from damage. Why didn’t you weigh in? There is, of course, a conservative argument for not using covid for broader policy goals, but just sticking to addressing the crisis. Examining that narrower issue also,useful, of course. Thanks again.

    Why must polling and the 2020 election be discussed in every AO podcast? I'd *much* rather this feed focus on legal issues instead of politics as usual.

    Lastly,into don't get me wrong -- I completely enjoy hearing law school banter. I don't know any lawyers very well and I like having a window into a group of experts talking about a specialized field I know little about in an illuminating way. But don't you find some hypocrisy in opening up the podcast bantering about who received the Harvard Law grade inflation and then switching over to talking about the "elites" as in them, over there, the elites? Again, I don't mind the Harvard talk at all and I find it interesting. But it seems that any mention of the "elites" afterwards might more appropriately be "we elites." I don't think it's a bad thing, but it was hard not to notice.

    In terms of the proposals to limit litigation against businesses --- How would this work out, if, say, you were an employee of a company in a state in which the governor made decisions that weren't consistent with the advice of medical professionals (but perhaps consistent with the varying advice of the president); this company discontinues whatever support available to employees during the social distancing phase and penalizes workers who, due to health risks, cannot safely report to work? One can imagine an employee with a precondition such as diabetes, asthma, COPD, etc. etc. is unable to safely come to work in a state in which, at the president's behest, the governor has opened the country without proper regard to the safety of vulnerable workers.

    What is in place to protect vulnerable employees, especially in an environment in which various individuals in leadership positions at the federal and state level have demonstrated irresponsibility and disregard for public health?

      I would suggest in many of these cases the lawyers seeking litigation can be compared less with hungry sharks circling the water out of greed, but people seeking protective measures for vulnerable citizens.
