    Thank you for this Mike. Adaam and John are thoughtful. Here are my thoughts after listening:
    I wish we would stop using the term “Palestinians” to refer to the population in that region as if they are a nation state. Palestine is a geographic reference. The Jews in Palestine are as “Palestinian” as the Arabs that also live there. There is a State of Israel. There was never a State of Palestine. Those in Gaza and the West Bank share one thing: the desire for the destruction of Israel. IMO, the only way there can be a hope of peace in that region is to prevent the other Arab (and Persian) nations from using the “Palestinian” people as fodder for their hatred of the Jews and Israel. There must be a complete and utter defeat of Hamas-an unconditional surrender. Like it or not, this is- and should be a war, not some limited military action. Until this happens, we will be back having this same discussion in 5, 10, 100 years.

      I'm sure the people there would feel your treatment and portrayal of their pain and suffering is as uncaring and unconvincing as the tears of a crocodile.

      I wonder if you will one day run into someone who makes your exact argument except in the completely opposite direction.

      Sadly, probably too many people in the IDF think exactly like you do. Even more tragically, that path will not lead to the end of Hamas, or if it does, then you will face another group or a successor of the same, a generation with fresh memories of mistreated or dead relatives at the hands of Israel.

        Sadly, Hamas' guiding idea, that the Jews will disappear from the land if they are sufficiently terrorized, will only be suppressed via military defeat. Why was Nazism popular in the 1930s and much, much less so by the 1950s? I assure you, it was not through being careful not to kill too many Nazis out fear of further radicalizing them. There are already indications that Palestinian leaders are moderating their views in response to how poorly the war is going for them:
