    As a Canadian who admires all the fabulous work the Dispatch dudes are up to... Probably Canada/US stuff does merit a little more attention. We're your biggest trading partner! We really want the relationships to work, to benefit as many people as generously as possible. Sorry about the smoke. We hate it. We're trying to address these fires that are threatening so many communities, and posing significant health hazards to so many more. Thanks for sending some manpower to help out! We deeply appreciate it. I know we send our guys to help out when and where we can, and we're grateful for the support. I know that Montreal is relatively close to lots of the large population centres in the NW USA, but there's actually a whole lot more to the country than just that. About the bagels, totally agree, Jonah. About hockey, bloody hell, an American team just won our Cup again. Congrats, but jeez, we want it back. And sincerely, I love my American relatives. We have such precious ties across the border. Let's do everything we can to work together and make this corner of the world, and all those with whom we interact, better for us having been here. One more time, yay Dispatch dudes. You are exploring the generous expanses of what good journalism can accomplish.

    About Chris Stirewalt's remark about Canadian Grade 13 - first, that stopped about 15 years ago. Second, that was only ever the province of Ontario, and everybody else in Canada made fun of them for it too.

    As a Canadian lured here to the US for a better salary, less taxes and so much more, I do miss the Montreal bagel. My Canadian family and friends who visit k ow the price of admission to my humble abode is a dozen bagels.
    Thanks for the shout out to the truly best bagel in the world.

    On Tucker, I sort of wonder if his tactic of trying to push the limit and feed viewers things that grow their racial resentment actually turned him into more of that sort of guy in reality or if he was hiding it in the days he was more of the happy Republican with a little libertarian sensibility. Doesn’t seem like an act at this point.

        I doubt John Stewart ever considered him a friend. I believe Jonah, John Podhoretz, Johnathan Last, and Matt Lewis have all spoken as if Tucker was a friend or at least a friendly colleague. I don’t think JPod suffers anti-semites well, or do the other 3 guys for that matter. I would be interested in what they think.

          Last week on one of the Commentary podcasts, JPod said he felt remorse for having hired Tucker at The Weekly Standard, and as far as Tucker's antisemitism, Pod flat out called him a pig. As much as I think Tucker is a performative, soulless money-grubbing deuce, I was still floored by his antisemitic take on Zelensky.
