    If the results are split, I like Sarah’s idea of going Dutch, but with a slight variation: Sarah pays for Steve’s dinner instead of hers, and he pays for her dinner instead of his.

    This could have been what she meant all along when she suggested going Dutch, but I think it creates some interesting “prisoner’s dilemma” dynamics when it comes to deciding what to order.

    Just a thought, and one that might help Steve’s position. In 2016 Trump won the Republican nomination as he was able to cobble together a coalition of MAGA nationalists and Evangelicals with just enough traditional Republicans to put him consistently in the 40% range. Well Trump likely lost all the traditional Republicans a while ago. But it is hard to imagine Evangelicals sticking with Trump. If DeSantis and Pence can steal these votes from Trump, it is quite plausible that someone else will be able to challenge and ultimately top Trump.

    The audio on this podcast is poor quality, like someone on speaker phone in an echoey room. Is the low quality audio intentional?

      Half intentional (we have a telephone effect on) but also we were actually on the road while recording this conversation, without real equipment. A proper check in phone call.

    Hey, was this accidentally uploaded as a 14-second clip initially? And then fixed after? Because Pocket Casts, at least, does caching of the first URL that works typically, and I have no idea how to force it to refresh its download to get the actual updated thing. Maybe add a new episode instead of editing the existing one, if indeed that's what was done here?
