    Just got around to listening to this today, and Sarah, as a fellow one-time Texan, I straight-up cringed when you referred to San Antonio Missions National Historical Park as "The Alamo." Not only is the Alamo not part of the park, I vastly preferred the other missions to the Alamo, particularly Mission San Jose, which is as fetching an example of Spanish colonial architecture as you'll find in the contiguous US. I haven't been since 2011, and I'd imagine visitation is up significantly since they were designated World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, but these four missions are a really underrated NPS property.

    This conservative libertarian leaning immigration lawyer started clapping in her office when Will was speaking about immigration policy.

    It is so refreshing to hear someone talk about immigration and have an actual understanding of the system.

    I do primarily corporate, investor and talent based visas -- it is INSANE how difficult we make it for global talent to remain in the US after school or to come and start businesses. Frankly, the best system is one that would put me out of business.

    Sarah, the Alamo is not part of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. It's owned by the state of Texas and run by a non-profit.

    As a Texan, I was spending this entire podcast enjoying the Texaness then getting mad that Will “peaced out” of Congress then yelling at my speaker “Guadalupe Mountains National Park!!!” (Shame on you two Texans to fail to mention GMNP) But Will, if you ran, you would be my first Republican presidential candidate I would vote for.

      The highest point in Texas! I tried to visit it in September 2014 and got monsooned out by the remnants of Hurricane Odile (which was still pretty potent!). Need to get back out there.

    Great episode - fun and informing. It's a shame there doesn't seem to be a place for him in public life right now. He is such a vast improvement to the current cast of characters. I'm looking forward to reading American Reboot.

    Universal Income? Really?
    I have been telling people that due to Robots we’ll need to provide something like that in the future. The abuse of such is something we’ll have to figure out. Sadly I think it will be additive rather than getting Democrats to take a look at all our programs.
    Remember when Paul Ryan suggested that we look at the efficiency of our current programs? Is accomplishing what Congress intended? How much waste?

    The Child Earned Income Tax credit for example. It turns out that that the IRA algorithm calls for an audit of those returns more often than regular taxpayers. Since black Americans use that credit the IRS has determined it is an example of systemic racism. However when audited 25% of those returns have “mistakes” with more than one person claiming it...LOL It obviously is not a mistake. 25% represent about $17 billion. Why can’t we look at every return that claims the credit? Because it’s racist? This is why a universal income payment will just be additive. Anyway, love Will Herd....and there is no downside to his common sense approach having more exposure. That said, it is just as much of a fantasy as Vivek’s Don Quixote effort, sadly.
