Remnant favorite A.B. Stoddard joins Jonah today for an episode of exceedingly rank punditry. The pair discuss how President Biden has fared in his first 100 days, Donald Trump’s lingering presence within the GOP, and why both parties can’t help but be nutty.     So I guess I fall into the weird niche of listeners who don’t like the dog stuff. I don’t really mind it and I appreciate that you include it. I guess while I like the fact that people like dogs I’m not personally interested in them. I’ll admit, for years, I always skipped the canine update on the G File. But I will always side with dogs over cats! Anyway, I actually listened to that part and enjoyed it so maybe I’ll start reading the canine updates.

    A. B. Stoddard is great. One of the best people at RCP. Used to be a huge fan of RCP but I dislike the recent turn in the quality of some of their content, and the quality of some of the content they link to on the main page. Guess that just goes along with a general decline in writing quality on the Internet, combined with the rise of Trumpy outlets that (usually) have a pretty low bar. And the rise in paywalls for quality content. Anyway, that’s why I subscribe to the Dispatch. Hands down better than most of what’s on the Internet these days.

    P. S. AB Stoddard isn’t the only good writer/analyst at RCP. Sean Trende is excellent. Bill Scher too. I like some of what Tom Bevan writes. Maybe one or two others. Some of the newer writers not so much.

    Just curious how Real Clear Politics is a going concern? They aggregate polls and stories but have very little ads. Does someone own them?

    A great conversation. AB adds much insight to understanding the people and happenings on ‘the Hill.” You have given me much to think about, but I’m having difficulty because my mind is stuck in a loop, Trump as Speaker … Trump as Speaker … Trump as Speaker …

    I read the Boehner book. It affords a viewpoint of some government officials during Boehner’s time, but Boehner remains elusive, to me.

    Hey Dispatch staff — any chance you could get even some machine-made transcripts of the podcasts produced? I'd understand if the quality wasn't the greatest, but there are at least some subscribers — I'm one of them — who don't care for podcasts, but would love to be able to at least skim through the transcripts.
