Dispatch Live: Brian Riedl on Student Loan Forgiveness

Join our weekly livestreamed conversation.

The Biden administration’s decision to relieve up to $20,000 of student loan debt for borrowers making $125,000 annually has been praised by progressives and panned by Republicans. But what does the program actually mean for the country? Manhattan Institute senior fellow Brian Riedl joins David on this week’s Dispatch Live to discuss that and the nation’s overall debt. In case you’re curious how Brian feels about the student loan forgiveness, read his latest piece for The Dispatch titled “The Student Loan Bailout Is Terrible Policy. The GOP Response Has Been Weak.” David and Brian will end the broadcast by taking your questions.
