Tammy Herbert 3 years ago more replies Love these lives! I just can't always be here because it's supper hour in our time zone. Someday I'll take the night off so I can get my question in. SO glad Chris is on the team! Collapse
Abraham 3 years ago more replies I was a long time listener to “I’ll Tell You What” and really miss hearing Chris’ incite! When can we get Chris a podcast??? Soon please 🙏🙏🙏 Collapse
CWB3 3 years ago more replies In 100 years from now, American conservatives will recall and study WFB the way we do Edmund Burke today. Rush Limbaugh, as much as I loved listening to him in 1992 while campaigning for a GOP Senate candidate, will not command that kind of attention. Collapse
Scott Stefanski 3 years ago more replies When referring to "All the King's Men" were you talking about the Woodward and Bernstein book or Robert Penn Warren's 1946 novel? I assume Woodward and Bernstein but both are about politics so... Collapse

Mary Stine 3 years ago more replies Hubby and I have been holed up in a hotel in Lake Jackson,TX since Monday after we lost power and water at our beach house. We get our 2nd Covid vaccination tomorrow and then head back to our beach house, now with heat, no water yet. We may be walking to the ocean to get water to flush toilets! We had rolling blackouts at the hotel, one of which occurred last night during the Dispatch Live broadcast, sadly. When the lights came back on I was able to watch the recording. Loved Sarah's sidekick cat..what a character! The Tail! The Head popping onto the screen! I really enjoyed this Dispatch Live, especially the conservative reading lists! I was that teenage girl nerd..would that the reading list would have been available to me back then! I wrote my senior high school thesis on the Russian revolution and the hypocrisy of Karl Marx! My family then sent me to a summer anti-communism camp! Interesting speakers but not much intellectual reading... Collapse

Tkmaeder 3 years ago more replies This was great! I really enjoy the TD Live productions...entertaining and very informative. I certainly agree with David that TD can and should be considered as part of the culture change that is so desperately needed right now. I think there is most definitely a true need for this type of platform and a real hunger for clear, unbiased news and thoughtful commentary. So very happy to be a member. Looking forward to more TD Live! Collapse
Edward Lam 3 years ago more replies I am so glad Sarah was on this to help tamp down the pro-Limbaugh rhetoric and bring these guys back to reality. As an under-40 conservative, I am only able to view Rush through the lens of his absolutely despicable and inexcusable comments on race and women. Its also hard to imagine a Trump presidency without Rush having laid the groundwork over a long period of time, fueling the white populist anger throughout the Obama presidency. Maybe Rush was a "good guy" once, but he certainly wasn't one now and most definitely not how most young conservatives who aren't caught up in the TPUSA, Stephen Crowder, "Own the Libs" movement will see him. Rush was a racist who should've been drummed out of the Republican party a long time ago. David French wrote an incredible piece this week about Ravi Zacharias and how institutions reflexively protect their own and I can't help but see the irony in everyone doing that here. Anyways, glad to see the book recommendations on here, I was given The Road to Serfdom and a copy of the Federalist Papers for Christmas. Looking forward to reading them. Collapse
Joe149 3 years ago more replies I agree. I listened to Rush from time to time in the late 90's, early 2000's, and then, while I didn't agree with what he was preaching, he was creative, intelligent, and entertaining. Since then he and the others who sat in for him, devolved into selling anger, a victim mentality, and clear falsehoods, like climate denial and worst of all, a rigged election. All quite apparently to appeal to his audience rather than to express his actual personal opinions. Finally, I can't forget that he was arrogant, grandiose and so over-confident as to be clownish (a perfect precursor to Trump). "Excellence in Broadcasting" "El Rushbo" "out-think.... with half my brain tied behind my back", etc, etc. The most embarrassing thing, for his followers, was "Dittoheads". His followers were sycophants, and he himself had become a dictator, and that power clearly corrupted him. I feel sorry for his family, but I'm glad he's off the air. Collapse
Pawlus 3 years ago more replies Agreed. People should go back and watch the extended clips (spread over 3 days!) of Limbaugh trashing Sandra Fluke as a slut, a prostitute, someone who was having sex in 6th grade, etc. Then try to defend him. If they still do, it will say a lot about their own character. Collapse
Boyd Moore 3 years ago more replies I am sure I would love to follow these Dispatch Live episodes, but being almost totally deaf, I must have subtitles/captions! Please find a way to add them, or upload to Youtube with their free captioning. Thanks. Boyd - a fan of The Dispatch (for reading :) Collapse
Catherine Lowe 3 years ago more replies https://youtu.be/eqSd3keJPWk I put the video up on youtube but their editor isn't giving me an obvious way to add auto-generated subtitles. I'll have to research how we do this. Thank you! Collapse
Boyd Moore 3 years ago more replies Catherine, if the captions appear, could you send an invitation to watch it? Thanks. The "private" category keeps it locked up unless you send permission to watch. Or you can make it "unlisted" which means no one can watch it unless they have the link that you put above. And it is not "searchable". Thanks. Boyd Collapse
Catherine Lowe 3 years ago more replies Boyd - They this link now https://youtu.be/eqSd3keJPWk Collapse
Boyd Moore 3 years ago more replies I'll try to watch it tomorrow and let you know what I think! Collapse
