    I was somewhat disturbed by the nod by West towards restricting free speech rights (of humans - AI has no free speech rights) in order to combat this problem. Yes, people lie. But the freedom of speech by definition includes the freedom to say false things. Most people who claim to be in favor of free expression are in favor of serious restrictions when it comes to the only speech that matters, which is political speech.

    If any candidate uses AI deceptively (and by candidate I mean their campaign or individually) or any PAC supporting a candidate uses AI deceptively, they will not get my vote. They are liars, plain and simple. It is the height of destructive deception.
