Adva’s sister, Tamar, was at the Nova music festival in southern Israel. Tamar is still missing after the 7/10 massacre. Adva generously spoke to The Dispatch about her efforts to get more information, the shock, and life after the horror.

    Thank you. That was incredibly difficult to listen to but so necessary. I can’t imagine what it is like for the Israelis who have to live this everyday. I am praying for the hostages and protection for the IDF and the swift eradication of Hamas.
    I was very moved by her compassion for even the Palestinian civilians, I don’t think I could do so in her place. Words fail. Adaam I am not sure about your family, I hope they are safe.
    I hope the Dispatch continues to do your excellent reporting on the war.

    That was hard to listen to, but I'm glad that I did. The phrase "never again" has, of course, a very specific meaning in Judaism, but it feels appropriate here, too, after the largest and most grotesque massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Such unspeakable atrocities must never happen again.

    I pray that Hamas will be swiftly and wholly eradicated.

    Difficult topic, but I'm glad you produced this.

    One side comment - the upbeat Dispatch Podcast theme music was a bit jarring given the subject matter. I think it would have been better with either no music or different music. Maybe not quite a dirge, but something along the lines of a lament might be appropriate.
