Introducing: High Steaks, a new mini-pod from The Dispatch!

Sarah Isgur and Steve Hayes have a running bet: will Donald Trump be the Republican nominee for president in 2024? She says yes, he says no. The stakes? A luxurious steak dinner (and potentially the fate of the American experiment). From now until we have an answer, Sarah and Steve will hop on quick calls to check in on the bet by reading the entrails of American politics. Polls will be analyzed and disputed, news contextualized, vibes shifts explained. As a Dispatch member, you get the full series (and ad-free).     Based on the text of the Twelth Amendment, I have solved the Kamala problem and can now declare that Steve will win the Democratic side of the bet. Sarah; you should have seen this coming!

    Here's how it goes. 1) On the advice of Hunter Biden and the King of England, Joe Biden resigns the presidency and Kamala Harris becomes the first woman to be President.
    2) In a brief contest for the Democratic nomination, Harris loses badly to Gavin Newsom.
    3) Newsom announces that he desparately wanted to have Harris back as Vice-President, but CAN'T DO IT because they are both from California!

    As you pay the check, Sarah, you WILL be entitled to complain that the primary was rigged for Newsom--ONLY Californians could solve the problem, and Diane Feinstein is past her prime.

    So, I still don't see how i subscribe to it on my phone. Option 1 takes me to the page and I can play on my laptop. But again no place to subscribe that I see and option 2 just spills a ton of HTML onto the page.

          Nope.

          When I click on the link in the TMD, I go to the embedded player. Across the bottom is says, Share Subscribe Description

          When I choose Subscribe, I get an icon that looks like a wi-fi signal strength indicator. If I hold down on that (on my phone), it says Copy link address. I paste that in my podcast player (Castbox), and I get the original Dispatch pod feed, same as a I did early.

          I'm not very familiar with following a limited pod.
