    The TD should put CJ on staff based on the comment read. It sums up how I feel about most of today’s politics although JG’s “ideologically grounded but politically homeless” is much easier to remember.

      I don’t understand, at this point, why there doesn’t seem to be even discussion about a third party being developed that represents the pre-Trump GOP voters. My guess people have done the math and it’s just not a good investment. Taking Trump’s character and crimes out of the equation, the new GOP’s position on tariffs and trade and foreign policy are enough for me to determine the party is fully populist.

    Many of us feel connected to The Dispatch as a home for the homeless. I suspect that's why the vociferous and voluminous reactions to the recent editorial.

    But people, it's just one editorial. Either you liked it or you didn't. Maybe it was a mistake, maybe it wasn't. But let's agree that, overall, The Dispatch is a noble effort toward good journalism and thoughtful commentary. Don't expect perfection. Just appreciate the good.

    Get over it.

    I think you need to post Sarah’s questionnaire. You should require members and staff to take it, and then display their score on all posts like people do their CliftonStrengths or MyersBriggs types.

    Seems like the demand question got lost in the banter.

    It seems the editors viewed this as an important time to replant their stake in the ground and define their editorial parameters. This is fine and most of us already knew this. I didn't understand why it prompted a rare editorial. The dissonance for me was that what was written, the title and tone, seemed to be a call to action and instructional for the audience. On that metric it failed, seemed very coded, self referential and like Sarah's description of someone else more for self help and self identity than anything. I snarkily thought to myself that the whole thing was just a preamble to some Dune related remnant merch or branding effort.

    Anyhow, thanks for the podcast and work, moving on. I'm sure nothing related will come up on the topic again.
